Happy new year to all techies and gadget freaks [like me]. My new year resolution this year is not to get tempted by any phone from @Samsung or @Apple , reason, This year apple can have at max iPhone 5S , not that great according to the history of 'S' model of iPhone, . Last S model of Apple i.e. 4S was beaten by Samsung Galaxy SIII (for the first time any Smartphone overtaken the Apple Champ) Now the rumors about 5S models are coming ,mostly roaming around iOS 7 , no design change, apple's better camera, storage option, A usual wish list as per Apple's usual strategy .
One can expect more from Samsung, but again, i would go back to my resolution (no new smart phone this year)
Samsung is gunning on Galaxy S IV, after what Samsung achieved during iPhone 4s vs S III time, Samsung would definitely bet on putting the best against iphone 5S , the rumors are to have Key lime pie(most obvious ) as Google always taste best with Samsung hardware. 13 Mega Pixel camera, 1080 Full HD display, unbreakable screen and lot more. Expected at MWC in feb 2013.
The big player (actually a big One) from Samsung is Note 3 , rumored to have 6.3 inch display , may be announced in 2nd or 3rd Quarter this year.
Windows 8 and blackberry were never in my list, but we all should expect something better from them,
Windows phone lumia is not eye catching, blackberry app world is not rich, so no danger from them to my budget (as of now) .
